New stops and timetable changes in regional bus services from September 10th

From September 10, 2024, there will be significant changes to regional bus services that will primarily affect students and commuters. The Regensburger Verkehrsverbund (RVV) and the GFN have announced that numerous adjustments will be made to the timetables in order to better meet the needs of passengers.

Lines 21 and 21/24 will be particularly revised. The route runs from Petzkofen via Aufhausen to Regensburg, including stops such as Alteglofsheim and Obertraubling. These adjustments are important not only for students, but also for anyone who regularly commutes into the city.

Optimized timetables and new connections

An important point of the changes is the earlier departure of line 21. From September 1, 2024, the bus will start at 6:33 a.m. from the church in Pfakofen and travel via Aufhausen to Regensburg main station. This new connection uses the B15, which means that the stops in Obertraubling and Regensburg can be reached five to seven minutes earlier. This could be a welcome relief for many commuters.

In addition, there will be a new departure at 7:00 a.m. from Alteglofsheim Landshuter Straße, which takes the usual route via Alteglofsheim and Köfering and arrives at the main station at 7:35 a.m. These new trips are designed to ensure students get to their schools on time.

Another highlight is the introduction of a continuous hourly service for line 21/24 on Saturdays. This means that passengers can now take the bus more regularly on weekends, increasing flexibility and accessibility.
