Complete closure of SR 46: Wiesenfelden has to manage a detour!

There are currently several significant road construction projects underway in the region, which will result in both traffic disruptions and infrastructure improvements. The focus is particularly on the **full closure of the district road SR 46** between Wiesenfelden and the Regensburg district border, which will take place on **04. September 2025** begins and is expected to last until **17. September 2025** will last. This measure, as the city of Wörth a.d.Donau reports in its report, requires a diversion via the routes Weihern, Wörth a.d.Donau, Tiefenthal, Zinzendorf, Pillnach, Obermiethnach and Wiesenfelden. In addition to this project runs from **23. July 2025** to probably mid-November 2025** a comprehensive construction project in Irlbach, municipality of Wenzenbach. Here the **district road R 6** will be fully expanded over a length of around **260 meters**. According to the Regensburg district, the work is carried out in cooperation with the municipality of Wenzenbach and includes: Among other things, the renewal of the asphalt surface layer and the barrier-free expansion of the Angerstrasse bus stop in Gonnersdorf.

Details about the construction project in Irlbach

During the work in Irlbach, the section of the district road from the Grünthaler Straße entrance in the direction of Gonnersdorf will be completely closed. Public transport will be redirected via the Gonnersdorf junction onto the B 16 federal highway to the Wenzenbach junction. Public transport and school bus passengers are asked to use the nearest stops.

An important aspect of the construction project is the planned roadway width of **6.50 meters**, which will be frost-proof and designed to be suitable for traffic. In addition, a footpath with a width of **1.80 meters** will be built to better access the social facilities in Irlbach, such as the children's home and day care. A secured crossing point with a pedestrian ford and pedestrian traffic lights will be installed at the level of the children's house to increase pedestrian safety.

The construction work is carried out by the construction company Guggenberger from Mintraching, which is responsible for both the earthworks and the asphalt work. The scope of services includes, among other things:
