In a festive atmosphere, a service took place in the parish church, marking the start of a special day. Pastor Michael Birner led the ceremony, which was celebrated with much joy and enthusiasm. Afterwards, the principal of the Max Prechtl School, Ingrid Scheider, welcomed the new students, who were full of excitement and curiosity.

A total of 39 first graders, who are now officially referred to as ABC shooters, were divided into two large classes. The students of class 4a created a good atmosphere with a cheerful song about the “cool school”, while class 2a welcomed all new students with a welcoming poem. These warm gestures helped the new students feel at home straight away.

A warm welcome for the first years

The first graders were called by name and walked through a colorful school bag gate to meet their new teachers, Kerstin Arnold and Tanja Rosensprung. Principal Scheider encouraged the children by saying that they should have a lot of fun, receive support and not be afraid of making mistakes. She wished them to make new friends and have an overall wonderful time at school.

The second mayor of Hahnbach, Georg Götz, did not miss the opportunity to say a few warm words to those present. He welcomed both adults and children and emphasized the importance of community at school. After the official welcome, all guests were invited to help themselves to a large cake buffet organized by the parents' association. This offered an excellent opportunity for the families to get to know each other and end the day in a friendly atmosphere.
