New opening hours at the recycling center: Better service from September!

CITY TRIANGLE. From September 1, 2024, the inter-municipal recycling center in the city triangle will have new opening hours. These changes are the result of a traffic measurement carried out between March 11 and April 14, 2024. The aim of these adjustments is to offer citizens a better experience when disposing of their recyclables.

The new opening hours are designed to better meet the needs of users. The measurement showed when most people visit the recycling center and the times were optimized based on this. This should not only reduce waiting times, but also enable deliveries to be distributed more evenly throughout the week.

New opening times in detail

The updated opening hours as of September 1, 2024 are as follows:

  • Montag: 14:00 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr
  • Dienstag: 13:00 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr
  • Mittwoch: 13:00 Uhr bis 19:00 Uhr
  • Freitag: 09:00 Uhr bis 12:00 Uhr
  • Samstag: 08:00 Uhr bis 12:00 Uhr

It is important to note that the closing time is 15 minutes before closing time. If you have large quantities of recyclables, you should be there in good time to ensure that everything can be accepted.

What can be thrown away?

The recycling center accepts small household quantities of up to 0.5 cubic meters. For larger quantities, you must register by telephone on 0151 144 789 75. This is necessary in order to better plan on-site capacities.

Accepted materials include, but are not limited to:

  • Sperrmüll
  • Unbehandeltes Altholz
  • Schrott (bitte zerlegt)
  • Bauschutt
  • Flach- und Fensterglas
  • Altfett
  • Elektrokleinteile (bis 50x50x50 cm)

It is important that all operating fluids are emptied before they are dispensed. Helium bottles must also have a hole in them to be accepted.

However, some waste is not accepted, including recycling bags, outdoor wood, bitumen, automotive parts and electronic waste such as refrigerators or PC screens. However, these materials can be disposed of at other disposal points, such as the Hofmann waste disposal company in Burglengenfeld or the waste recycling plant in Schwandorf.
