Energy transition up close: Experience city walks in Neutraubling

The city of Neutraubling has come up with something very special to actively involve citizens in the energy transition. As part of the Bavarian Energy Days, which will take place from September 21st to 29th, 2024, the city invites you to two exciting city walks. These events have the motto “Energy Transition. Here. Now.” and provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about local initiatives to promote renewable energy and climate protection.

The city walks are not only informative, but also interactive. Participants can look forward to a mixture of exercise, knowledge exchange and stimulating conversations. These tours focus on the urban climate and nature in parks and public spaces. The city administration wants to increase awareness of the importance of nature and climate protection.

Details about the city walks

The first walk will take place on Tuesday September 24th and will have a particular focus on heating and warmth. Over a distance of around three kilometers, topics such as climate change adaptation, urban greening and the use of renewable energies are covered. Participants have the opportunity to view the city's current projects, including the renovation of the funeral hall, which plays a central role in climate protection.

The second walk follows on Thursday, September 26th, which deals with urban greening, renewable energies and mobility. Here, architect Rupert Wirzmüller will present the concept for the design and greening of Haid Park. The importance of old trees, the maintenance of urban green spaces and the infrastructure for electric cars are also discussed. Participants can look forward to a relaxed and educational tour through the green oases of Neutraubling.

Both events begin at 5 p.m. and end with a refreshment stop where the topics can be discussed in greater depth in a personal conversation. Registration is not required, so anyone interested can take part spontaneously.
