Fiber optic expansion in Postbauer-Heng: OFM takes over after bankruptcy

The fiber optic expansion in Postbauer-Heng is picking up speed again. After the construction company Soli Infratechnik GmbH went bankrupt, the OFM company from Burgkunstadt took over responsibility for the further work. Telekom will oversee construction to ensure everything goes smoothly. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2025.

New responsibilities and construction management

When OFM takes over the construction work, Mr. Großhauser will act as construction manager. He will ensure that the work is carried out professionally and according to plan. Telekom has also entrusted Mr. Christian Hiltrop with construction supervision to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Communication with residents is also handled by OFM. Two appointments are usually required to install a house connection. First, the civil engineering work takes place to prepare the property. The second appointment involves blowing the fiber optic cable into the house and installing the termination point.

Current status of construction work

Construction work has already begun and the first defects have been corrected. Civil engineering work has already been carried out in several places. Telekom has also commissioned the Kabashi company to take care of the connections on the properties and the drilling into the houses.

The Postbauer-Heng market expects the expansion to last until the second quarter of 2025. Progress will continue to be closely monitored to ensure local residents can soon reap the benefits of the fiber optic network.
