Bolivian delegation explores Hahnbach: An exchange full of impressions
The Bolivia relief organization “Runa Masi” receives visitors from Bolivia. Fabiana Albarado Zurita and Severino Maldonado are the new people responsible for the Centro Cultural Ayopayamanta. They travel through Germany and Austria to get to know their supporters and their work better.
Visit to Hahnbach
They traveled from group to group for six weeks and collected lots of impressions. After their visit to the Franconian Ayopaya mission group, they are staying with the Moosburger family in Hahnbach. On the first evening there is a big hello and lots of hugs when we see the “Bolivia adventurers” again. They got to know the beneficial work in Cochabamba and Independencia in November 2023.
On the second day, Margret and Josef Hirsch marvel at the new Hahnbach water buffaloes together with the former Bolivian driver and translator Eva Ott and her husband Hans. Hans Weiß took the time to attract them and explain interesting facts.
Tour of the facilities
The afternoon belongs to the Wallmenichhaus sisterhood. There they visit the exemplary day care, assisted living and retirement home facilities. A particularly important viewing appointment is the Hahnbach water supply. Together with the building authority manager, the qualified engineer (FH) Christian Gräßmann, and the water warden Hans Siegert, they visit the elevated tank and the treatment plant in Hahnbach as well as the elevated tank in Atzmannsricht and the Krondorf waterworks. Water warden Jürgen Lindner also informs the two very interested people. “Nobody has ever been so interested in our work,” the three say happily.
Lunch with the mayor
Hahnbach's mayor Bernhard Lindner invites everyone to lunch. Fabiana will previously show two short films about the successful work of the CCA in Independencia, which has received much recognition.
The afternoon belongs to Kolping's Amberg facilities. Hans Bauer, the chairman of Runa Masi, accompanies the delegation. Robert Pirner, head of the educational center, guides you through the large, helpful offerings the house has to offer.
Participation in church service and return journey
The two Bolivians are also interested in taking part in the liturgy of the word, which is foreign to them, and the blessing of the graves in the Hahnbach cemetery on All Saints Day. In the afternoon the journey continues through the Vilstal, which is in its most beautiful colors, to Regensburg for the network conference of all supporters of the Ayopaya region. Soon the two will be on the flight back to their homeland, where they will certainly have a lot to report from “the other side of the world”.
