The bridge at Vogelherd in Aichach is open to traffic again. The bridge, also known as the “Blue Steg”, connects the BCA training areas with the commercial area on Oberbernbacher Weg. It was temporarily closed due to damage to the foundation caused by the riverbed being washed out. The bridge itself rests on sturdy driven piles that are sunk deep into the ground and encased in heavy hydraulic stones to ensure its stability.

Infrastructure restoration

Thanks to the favorable weather conditions and a low water level in the pair, the final repair work was completed quickly. It is noteworthy that the level of the pair has now risen again, which underlines the urgency of the work.
