Inclusion in the Tirschenreuth district: Action plan 2024 presented

The Tirschenreuth district adopted the Inclusion Action Plan in May 2024. This plan contains the current status from all areas of life as well as the most important goals and measures for inclusion and participation. The political and socio-political commitment of the district and municipalities, organizations and institutions, clubs and companies is clear: people with disabilities and their relatives as well as other disadvantaged groups should be taken seriously. Your participation in shaping the district is desired.

Working together for inclusion

The action plan is the result of collaboration between various actors. Municipalities, parents of children with disabilities, self-advocates, relatives and experts from various subject areas took part. A steering group, together with the BASIS Institute, formulated and prioritized measures.

Various areas affected

The political and socio-political actors from the district and the supra-local organizations must work together to achieve the different projects and goals. These concern the areas of early childhood education, school, work and employment, accessibility, mobility, political participation, information, leisure, sport, culture, health and housing. Everyone is called upon to take on this task.

Regular review

The action plan is regularly reviewed and updated. In this way, the district can develop further in an inclusive manner. Anyone interested can find the action plan in two different versions, including a short version in understandable language, on the website of the district and the Inclusion Network.
