Springer has had a remarkable career. He grew up in Bavaria and dealt with political issues from an early age. During his time as a student, he was actively involved against National Socialism and founded a left-wing party, from which he later left. These experiences sharpened his keen eye for social injustices and fostered his passion for real satire.
