The garrison town of Oberviechtach had a special visit on September 17, 2024. Ms. Dr. Eva Högl, the defense representative of the German Bundestag, came to the city to exchange ideas with the soldiers from the Grenzland barracks. Their goal was to directly experience and understand the concerns and challenges of the troops.
During her visit, Dr. Högl also with the first mayor Rudolf J. Teplitzky. The discussions were not only about the current sensitivities of the soldiers, but also about the upcoming deployment to Lithuania.
