70 years of Burglengenfeld Hospital: special exhibition in the Folklore Museum
A special exhibition will open in the Upper Palatinate Folklore Museum from September 20, 2024, which deals with the history of the Burglengenfeld Hospital. Under the title “Health! – 70 Years of Burglengenfeld Hospital” the development of healthcare in the region is examined. The exhibition can be viewed until November 24, 2024 during the museum's regular opening hours, which are Wednesday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. However, the museum remains closed on public holidays, such as German Unity Day and All Saints' Day.
The exhibition is not only a tribute to the hospital, which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2022, but also a project launched in collaboration with the museum's circle of friends. The aim is to document the development of health and health care and to honor the history of the building that is now known as the Asklepios Clinic. Visitors can look forward to a variety of exhibits that come from the museum's holdings as well as from neighboring museums and private collectors.
