Big senior days in Zeitlarn: information, lectures and music awaits!

It's almost time: On Friday, November 21st and Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, the big senior days will take place in the Zeitlarn multi-purpose hall. Loud Zeitlarn The organizers, including Mayor Andrea Dobsch and senior representatives Elvira Gehr and Reinhard Ühlin, are expecting numerous visitors. The event is dedicated to the exchange of information and support for a healthy, active and independent life in old age. Admission is free, which allows participation for anyone interested.

The lectures offered during the Senior Days are specifically tailored to the needs of older people. On Friday, the events begin at 1:00 p.m. with the opening, followed by a lecture on fire prevention by the Regendorf fire department, a lecture on precautions for accidents and illness and another on call center fraud by the Regenstauf police. The first day is rounded off with a lecture by the renowned Dr. Wolfgang Peter on mobility and self-determination in old age. The whole thing is musically framed by the Dormann couple.

Diverse program

The second day of the event starts at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Erna Kleemann, who talks about how the body and mind process experiences. The senior dance group will also perform at both 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Another lecture on resilience and healthy eating is on the program. The musical finale on Saturday will be provided by the Zeitlarn children's choir and the group Die 7gscheitn.

A free bus transfer has been set up to travel to the Senior Days, which is available on both days and uses low-floor buses suitable for disabled people. The stops are well distributed to ensure wide accessibility. Return times are also set so visitors can enjoy the day without any worries.

Free bus tour and other offers

A free bus tour through the community of Zeitlarn will be offered on April 23, 2024 in the run-up to the Senior Days Charivari reported. This tour is aimed at older residents and starts at 2pm. With the participation of Mayor Andrea Dobsch and the senior citizens' representatives, a tour of all districts will take place, followed by an invitation to coffee and cake in Café Zeitlos.

In addition, the German Society for Senior Counseling offers a series of lectures for seniors and their relatives. Topics include, among other things, healthy nutrition, retirement planning and safe living conditions.
