Sinzing municipality rejects false reports about tree planting
The municipality of Sinzing is reacting to the public reports and statements from Alliance 90/The Greens regarding the recently carried out tree plantings at Kühbloß. In a published counter statement dated November 19, 2025, it is emphasized that the planning and implementation of this measure was not the responsibility of Alliance 90/The Greens, but was organized by the municipal administration itself.
A central point in the statement is the reference to an existing contract as part of the Bavarian Bloom Pact, which the municipality has concluded with the Free State. Under the initiative of Prof. Dr. Inga Neumann, suitable areas were selected and designed in collaboration with impartial groups such as the Sinzing Fruit and Horticultural Association (OGV) and TU WAS.
Tree planting background
The idea of planting trees came later, based on suggestions from the OGV Sinzing. In spring 2025, the trees were obtained free of charge from the Regensburg Association for Nature Conservation (BN) and picked up by municipality employees. However, it was discovered that the bare-root trees were close to sprouting, making spring planting impossible. Therefore, the trees were placed in the private garden with the plan to plant them in the fall.
All of the actions were carried out by the community and in coordination with the organizations mentioned. Originally, the areas provided for in the flowering pact were not suitable for tree planting, which is why the decision was made to select the meadow on Kühbloß as the planting location. The necessary preparatory work for planting was carried out by the municipality's building yard.
Criticism of the Greens
The counter statement also alleges that Alliance 90/The Greens gave the impression on social media that they had planned and implemented the action themselves. This is expressly rejected by the community. The mayor emphasizes that the municipal administration must behave politically neutral and has not used any financial or human resources for party-political actions, which underlines the explosiveness of the situation.
In addition, the municipality has decided to stop working with Alliance 90/The Greens in the future. This means that all remaining work on the municipality's land will be carried out independently. The financial outlay shown of around 1,100 euros, which consists of work from the construction yard, earth excavation and the purchase of substrate and soil, is also in the room and illustrates the community's investment in the project.
