Share your memories: The old indoor swimming pool in Neutraubling

It won't be long before the new Neutraublingen indoor swimming pool opens its doors. The old indoor swimming pool on Keplerstrasse has been closed since summer. During this time a lot of dismantling and clearing took place. Some treasures came to light. The city archives and museum were invited to look around the rooms and select memorabilia. These now find space in the museum depot. These include changing lockers, blue clothes hangers, information signs, a hairdryer with a wall mount, a lounger and a trash can in 80s chic.

Looking for memories

Many people from Neutraubling spent many years of their youth or large parts of their family life in the old indoor swimming pool. They have certainly experienced a lot. The city archive would like to capture these experiences and store them together with the objects. It is therefore actively asking citizens for help.

“Did something funny ever happen to you in the indoor swimming pool on Keplerstrasse or did you experience something that stayed in your memory?” asks the city archives. “Did they perhaps meet there? Make friends for life? Found something strange while swimming or lost something valuable?”

Citizens are invited to share their anecdotes. These can be sent to the city archivesPetra Aichinger, Regensburger Straße 9. Alternatively, voice messages can also be sent to telephone (0151) 62981214.

The city archive is also interested in photographs. Images can be scanned in high quality and complete the collection with the appropriate usage rights.
