Collecting scattered fruit: Apple campaign in the Regensburg district 2024
In the Regensburg district, the apple collections for 2024 are just around the corner. On two Saturdays, September 28th and October 19th, citizens can hand in their unsprayed apples at the district building yard warehouse in Oberpfraundorf. This initiative aims to preserve the valuable orchards that contribute not only to the nature but also to the culture of the region.
For many years, the Regensburg Landscape Conservation Association has been committed to supporting citizens in caring for their orchards and orchards. Josef Sedlmeier, the association's managing director, appeals to the population to only bring fresh and undamaged fruit from their own gardens to the collection point. This is important in order to be able to produce high-quality products such as Juradistl apple spritzer and Juradistl apple juice.
Important information about delivery
The apples should be brought to the collection point in suitable containers such as bags or boxes. For larger quantities exceeding 10 hundredweight per delivery, prior registration with the landscape conservation association is required. Those interested can contact Josef Sedlmeier on 0941/4009-361 or by email.
The fruit is weighed upon delivery and the suppliers receive a weighing slip. This year a payment of €11 in cash is being offered for 100 kg of apples. Alternatively, the apples can also be exchanged for vouchers for the popular Nagler fruit juices. If you already have a Nagler customer number, you should definitely bring it with you.
The collection times are from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the Saturdays mentioned. The exact location is the district building yard in Oberpfraundorf, directly at the motorway underpass opposite the commuter parking lot. This campaign is carried out in collaboration with the Oberpfraundorf fruit and horticultural association in order to promote the tradition of orchard care in the region.
