Couple from Brunn plans new building: local council meets on January 22nd!

The community of Brunn is preparing for the meeting of the community council, which will take place on January 22nd, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the youth room of the St. Marien kindergarten in Eglsee. This session will have particular focus on various construction matters. According to the announcement by Karl Söllner, the First Mayor, the agenda will include both public and non-public items covering a variety of topics.

The main points include, among other things, the approval of the public minutes of December 11, 2025 as well as various building applications and plans. In particular, a building application for the construction of a new single-family home with a double carport at Sonnenweg 13 is being discussed. Changes to the “THW” land use plan for the Laaber market and the topic of “common use areas for kindergarten” are also on the agenda. Early participation takes place in accordance with the legal provisions of the Building Code.

Citizen participation

Citizens are invited to actively participate in the planning and change processes. This is done, among other things, via the specialist portal of [Beteiligung NRW](https:// Beteiligung.nrw.de/portal/rpv/startseite), which offers an overview of the spatial planning and land-use planning procedures in North Rhine-Westphalia. The currently applicable regional plans, land use plans and development plans can be viewed here. However, it should be noted that the data may be incomplete and may vary in individual municipalities.

The importance of public participation is underlined in a report by the Bundestag, which shows that the active participation of citizens in the aforementioned planning is essential for the successful implementation of construction projects is. This input from community members can make a significant contribution to taking locally relevant interests into account.

The public part of the meeting is followed by a non-public meeting in which further information is discussed. The invitations and announcements for the meeting illustrate the transparent communication between the municipality and its citizens, which is of great importance.
