Closure of Seidenbuschstrasse from Monday: Important information for residents!

From Monday, October 20, 2025, Seidenbuschstraße in Aufhausen will be completely closed between the junctions of Steinackerweg/Laubmeierweg and Am Hirtacker. This measure is part of the extensive construction work, which already includes the existing complete closure of the Aufhausen through town. According to the Aufhausen community The diversion for heavy traffic via Langenerling-Hagelstadt-Pfakofen remains signposted.

For residents of the affected streets, the closure has a direct impact on garbage collection. The waste containers between Seilerberg and Steinackerweg must be provided at the known collection points as there are no sidewalks. Residents between Steinackerweg and Am Hirtacker as well as in Hirtweg should provide their appropriate waste bins at the start or end of construction. Garbage collection can no longer access Hirtweg. Residents are asked to leave their bins at the junction with Laubmeierweg for collection.

Changed timetables and stops

The construction work will also lead to changes to the regional transport timetable. Certain stops in Gansbach and Aufhausen/Etzweg cannot be served due to the closure. A replacement stop was set up in Aufhausen/Seilerberg. The surrounding residential streets will be closed to heavy traffic and the speed in this area will be limited to 30 km/h. The Rhine Railway also provides information about ongoing asphalt work on the Theodor Heuss Bridge, which will also lead to temporary closures.

The closures on the B7, which are being carried out in two construction phases, have further effects on bus and car traffic. The first section will be closed from Wednesday October 15th 9pm to Sunday October 19th 9pm. The second section starts on Thursday, October 23rd, 9 p.m. and ends on Sunday, October 26th, 9 p.m. Bus routes will be rerouted, including bus route 834, which will take a new route over the Oberkassel Bridge.

The residents in the region are therefore asked for your understanding and patience. During construction work, residents are asked to be considerate of traffic and get used to the new conditions. Further information about the construction sites can be found on the website City of Nuremberg and the Rhine Railway can be seen.
