School helpers wanted: Together for the safety of our children!
A call is being launched in the market town of Pyrbaum to recruit new helpers on the way to school. These dedicated individuals play a critical role in ensuring the safety of children as they travel to school. Helpers on the way to school are indispensable, especially on busy streets and pedestrian crossings, where drivers often ignore traffic rules.
The initiative, which has been in place for several years, has proven to be extremely successful. Parents, grandparents and other volunteers have volunteered to take on this important task in the past. But at the end of the school year, many of these helpers withdraw because their own children change schools. This leads to an acute shortage of school helpers.
Urgent call for support
In the last year, several long-time school route volunteers have left their service, making the need for new volunteers even more urgent. The community is therefore looking for parents, grandparents and others who are willing to work to ensure the safety of children. The task of the school route helpers is to secure dangerous traffic points and to ensure that the students get across the street safely.
The assignments are usually weekly and last about half an hour each. The more people take part, the less often each individual has to be on duty - around every five to six weeks. This makes it easier for everyone involved to get involved.
The traffic police and the Neumarkt police station support this campaign and offer professional training for the new helpers. This ensures that all school helpers are well prepared and know how to act correctly in critical situations.
Those interested can contact the Pyrbaum market directly for further information. Ms. Lehmeier is available on 09180 9405 26. Anyone who wants to support the safety of children is welcome to become part of this important initiative.
Together we can ensure our children get to and from school safely.
