Oskar Höcherl celebrates his 97th birthday in Döbersing. The celebrant is a well-known face in the Weiding community. In good health, he celebrates at the Heigl inn in Dalking. Family, friends and representatives of the parish and the seniors' club gather around him.

An eventful life

Born on November 7, 1927 in Loibling near Roding, Höcherl grew up with his siblings on his parents' farm. The last years of the war left their mark. After his return from American captivity in southern France in December 1945, he initially worked at the Bosch company in Feuerbach. In 1955 he married his wifeFannyand took over an inn in the Ludwigsburg district. In 1967 they returned home and opened a tavern in Schafberg near Furth im Wald. After 23 years in the border town, they moved to Döbersing in 1990.

Today the Höcherl family is closely linked to the Weiding community and the Dalking parish. The family includes three childrenGabi,SandraandAxel, as well as the already grown granddaughterSimone. Everyone is warmly connected to each other.
