ZEN Ensdorf starts free energy advice for all citizens!

ZEN Ensdorf will be the official advice base of the Bavarian Consumer Center from October 1, 2025. This gives the district's citizens the opportunity to take advantage of regular, free energy consultation appointments. These take place on the third Thursday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the ZEN office.

The advisory service covers a variety of topics such as saving energy, replacing heating systems and information about government funding programs. At the same time, ZEN Ensdorf will offer a check campaign at the beginning of the consultations: The first 20 people seeking advice who would like to take advantage of on-site consultation will receive a reduction of their own contribution of 40 euros.

Comprehensive consulting services

The consultation appointments each last 45 minutes and are carried out by specialists from architecture and engineering. A variety of consultation formats are available, including online, telephone and video consultation. Low-income households can benefit from free advice provided proof is provided.

Topics covered in the consultations include:

  • Strom- und Wärmeverbrauch
  • Richtiges Heizen und Lüften
  • Auswahl neuer Heizungen, beispielsweise Wärmepumpen und Pelletheizungen
  • Solarwärme und Photovoltaik
  • Energetische Sanierung und Dämmung
  • Fördermittel und deren Beantragung

Support for energy-efficient construction

Visitors to the advisory base not only benefit from independent and competent advice, but also have access to information about Federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG). These programs support owners of apartments and houses that are at least five years old with renovations and heating replacement. The supported measures include energy renovation work, the replacement of old heating systems with renewable energies and various other structural improvements.

Grants and reduced-price loans can be applied for to replace heating systems that use renewable energies, such as electric heat pumps or pellet heating systems. It is possible to combine this funding with KfW loans to reduce the financial burden.

Make an appointment

Appointments for the advisory services can be made via the Bavarian Consumer Center's free hotline on 0800 809 802 400. Individual telephone and video consultations are also available there upon request. It is important that those seeking advice register in good time to avoid waiting times.

After an on-site consultation, those seeking advice will receive a written report by post summarizing the points discussed. With this practice-oriented support, the Bavarian Consumer Center and ZEN Ensdorf would like to make an important contribution to energy saving and the use of renewable energies.
