A life for music

In the property next to the parish churchAndreas Wehrlborn on February 2, 1934. He grew up with five siblings. His parents run a shoemaking business and a small farm. After school, he learned the shoemaking trade and supported his father. From 1959 until his retirement in 1994 he worked as a maltster. He married in 1962Johanna Foxfrom Utzenhofen. The marriage resulted in four children and six grandchildren.

He delights people with his musical streak. This talent was instilled in him by his father. He receives piano lessons fromHeinz Fruth, the city organist in Sulzbach at the time. In addition, on the weekends he completes church music training through the Diocese of Eichstätt.

Community involvement

From 1956 to the end of 2003Andreas Wehrlthe Catholic church choir. He has been active as an organist for decades. For special occasions, such as the Corpus Christi procession and the reception of pilgrims, he puts together a small brass band. This provides a special musical note.

The Illschwang men's choir is a particular concern of his. He has been an active member there since 1951. From 1959 he became deputy choir director.
