Merchinger Advent: Holiday magic with Santa Claus and music enjoyment!
The popular Merchinger Advent will take place in Merching on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The event begins at 3:00 p.m. with the Advent café in the auditorium of the Merching elementary and middle school. At 4:00 p.m. Mayor Helmut Luichtl will ceremoniously open the market, supported by musical performances by the kindergarten children and the Merching music association. After the opening, visitors can explore the numerous stalls in the schoolyard from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Merchinger Advent has been prepared for months and will take place on the first Sunday of Advent this year, despite ongoing renovation work in the schoolyard. The organizers have put together a varied program, which also includes the traditional raffle to determine the use of the net proceeds. The proceeds from the event are again used for charitable purposes, with last year a rowing machine for seniors being purchased.
Diverse offer
Various culinary delicacies are offered at the Advent market. Visitors can look forward to angel punch, cookies, Merchinger burgers as well as Advent decorations and arrangements. Sales stands from the Merching elementary and middle school and local hobby artists enrich the offering. In addition, Santa Claus and Knecht Ruprecht have announced their presence to bring joy to the little guests.
The festive evening ends at 8:00 p.m. The event is not only an enrichment for the community, but also strengthens the tradition of the Advent market in Merching.
