Burgstrasse in Tirschenreuth: Renovation on the home stretch!

The renovation work on Burgstrasse is on the home stretch. After the official start of construction in June of this year, an important milestone was reached this week: the renovation of the sewer and water pipes has now been completed. This is a significant advance that pleases local residents and the city administration alike.

In the coming weeks, the telecommunications construction company RKE will begin laying the fiber optic cables. This measure is part of a comprehensive project aimed at modernizing the region's infrastructure. The paving work is also expected to be completed soon, so the road is expected to be reopened to traffic by the end of October. In order to avoid having open ditches in winter, work on the sewer and water pipes in the adjacent Stichanerstrasse is planned for 2025.

Funding and thanks to those involved

The total costs for the construction project amount to around 1 million euros, with around 70 percent being covered by funding. Mayor Franz Stahl expressed his thanks to the companies involved and the Borg engineering firm. The services of the construction companies Geiger and Bäuml Bau as well as the project manager Regina Zahn from the building authority were particularly highlighted. Stahl wished everyone involved continued success and accident-free work.

At his side can be seen the managing director of Bäuml Bau, Stefan Bäuml, as well as other representatives of the companies involved and the Borg engineering firm. This collaboration is crucial to the success of the project and shows how important teamwork is in such large projects.
