Winter service 2024/2025: This is how Sinzing stays free of snow and ice!
Our construction yard employees are out every day from 4 a.m. in the winter to keep the roads free of snow and ice for you. This task represents a considerable physical and psychological strain, which can last for several weeks due to the weather. Winter service is always carried out with the greatest possible care. However, it cannot always be avoided that snow is cleared from the street onto the sidewalk you need to clear or in front of your driveway.
Winter service readiness
In some cases, due to a lack of or confusing turning options and parked cars, secondary streets or dead ends may not be cleared or may only be cleared at a much later point in time. The legal obligation for the municipality to clear and spread is limited to sidewalks along public areas and roadways, which are both dangerous and important for traffic. Local thoroughfares such as Bruckdorfer Straße in Sinzing, Regensburger Straße in Eilsbrunn or Jurastraße in Viehhausen are considered to be important for traffic. Supposed main streets such as Bergstrasse or Rosenbuschstrasse no longer fall under this definition. Intersection areas or streets with high gradients are considered dangerous. Both factors – dangerous and traffic-significant – must be present cumulatively.
Pay attention to parking behavior
Finally, we ask you to note that a minimum passage width of 3.50 meters must be maintained on all streets and that vehicles are parked accordingly. This also applies to purely residential streets. In addition, parking at the end of cul-de-sacs and in the turning hammer enormously hinders the implementation of winter service.
