Cultural Autumn in Schierling: A festival of music and stories

Summer is saying goodbye, and that means culture lovers will get their money's worth in Schierling! The cultural autumn has begun and brings with it a wealth of events that will make visitors' hearts beat faster. Last weekend saw a successful start with two special musical performances that give a first impression of what the coming weeks have in store.

On Friday evening, Elli Erl and Tina van Wickeren created a great atmosphere in the Holmer Hall in Eggmühl. Their concert was not only musical, but also personal, as the two artists spoke from their book “Elli and Tina unplugged – on tour with dog, guitar and van”. They shared amusing anecdotes from their sabbatical, which visibly delighted the audience.

Musical highlights in the cultural autumn

Saturday evening was also an experience when Cristina Bojin (flute) and Enrico Rizzo (piano) performed at the Artonicon in Unterlaichling. Under the motto “Of sagas, legends and true stories,” they captivated the listeners with a carefully selected program that included works by famous composers such as Carl Reinecke and Giuseppe Verdi. The delicate and romantic sounds created an atmosphere that captivated those present.

Another highlight is coming up on October 26th, when the Brass Band Regensburg will perform their new program “Midnight” in the Schierling multi-purpose hall. The band promises an exciting mix of different musical styles that will appeal to both brass band music lovers and newcomers. Admission is free and the concert starts at 7:00 p.m.

The event “Da Bobbe & Addnfahrer – Dinner for One in Bavarian” on November 14th at 8:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall will provide a humorous evening. In this Bavarian interpretation of the classic program, cabaret artist Bobbe makes the audience laugh as he presents Bavarian delicacies as a house servant. Tickets are available via Eventim and at the usual ticket offices.

Theater performances and more

The Schierling Kolping family also invites you to an entertaining evening at the theater. The comedy “Always this full moon” by Wolfgang Braut will be performed on the weekends of November 15th and 16th and November 22nd and 23rd in the Schierling parish hall. An additional performance will take place on Sunday, November 17th at 6:00 p.m.
