Senior information trip: Lappersdorf presents exciting projects!

On November 14, 2025, a senior information trip took place in Lappersdorf, which was met with great interest. Around 50 senior citizens took part in this event, which was accompanied by First Mayor Christian Haunner. The tour served to present and view current topics and projects in the market area. The departure point was at the Kareth Church, with further boarding options at several stops in Oppersdorf and the Stachus in Lappersdorf.

During the tour, various projects were presented, including the “Seniors' Residence Lappersdorf”, which includes 31 age-appropriate, barrier-free condominiums. The location is at the intersection of Pielmühler Straße and Oppersdorfer Straße, and the project is being realized by Kölbl Bau, while the marketing is carried out by Hollnberger Immobilien. Another important topic was the redesign of the town thoroughfare, which is based on the winning design of the urban development competition by Lohrer Hochrein landscape architects and is scheduled to be implemented from spring 2026.

Diverse projects in the region

Other projects presented include the Kareth Berzlfelsen residential complex with seven buildings and around 50 residential units as well as the redesign of the playground on Kareth Hauptstrasse, where demolition work has already been carried out and new construction is scheduled to begin in December. The infrastructure will also be improved by the new footpath from the Kareth parish hall to Xaver-Schäffner-Straße, which is planned in coordination with the Kareth parish.

The fire station in Kareth, whose construction work has been ongoing since May 2025, is expected to be occupied in late summer 2026. In addition, four living containers for homeless people and a sanitary container at the Kareth sports center have been made available since the end of 2024. A new LF 20 KatS vehicle was purchased for the Oppersdorf volunteer fire department, which has been in use since July 2025.

The municipality is also planning to develop two new building areas: Mühlbreite II in Oppersdorf with 31 plots and Hönighausen with a total of 59 plots, with socially supported housing units also being planned. The newly opened dirt bike facility in Hainsacker is enjoying great acceptance among young people, and the Hainsacker Volunteer Fire Department is planning an expansion with additional parking spaces and a youth room.

Insights and conclusion

In the municipality of Lappersdorf, emphasis is also being placed on the renewal of the local heating network in Hainsacker and the development of a new commercial area in Lorenzen with an area of ​​3.5 hectares. A building application to build a fishing hut for the Lappersdorf fishing community is also supported and is planned for 2026. The Pielmühle exercise park will be built in the former bathing garden and is scheduled to be completed in spring 2026.

Like the previous one, this tour also had the aim of presenting the current projects in the Lappersdorf market and strengthening the sense of community.
