Public display: Photovoltaic project starts in Grafenhof

At the last meeting of the Lappersdorf market town council on June 11, 2024, a significant step towards sustainable energy production was decided. The council has approved the drafts for a special development plan that aims to develop an open-space photovoltaic system in Grafenhof. This initiative is part of efforts to meet local energy needs through renewable sources and reduce dependence on external energy imports.

The new development plan, which also includes an integrated green space plan, was approved in its current version. In addition, the 6th amendment to the land use plan was approved, which is also being dealt with in a parallel procedure. The scope of the plan was expanded to include the property with land number 159/11 in the Hainsacker district. The plan now includes the field numbers 159/10, 159/11 and 938 (partial area).

Public interpretation and participation

The public has the opportunity to actively participate in this process. The draft development plan and the changes to the land use plan will be available for inspection from October 9th to November 11th, 2024 both online and in the Lappersdorf town hall. Interested citizens can view the plans in the town hall, room no. 205, during regular opening hours and can receive explanations of the planning upon request.

In addition, statements can be sent electronically to the market administration during the display period. It is important to note that late comments may not be considered. This also applies to environmental associations, which must submit their objections in a timely manner within the framework of the Environmental Legal Remedies Act in order to be heard in the proceedings.

The planning aims to strengthen local energy supplies while promoting environmentally friendly practices. The environmental information provided as part of the design includes reports on the state of nature and landscape as well as reports on the photovoltaic system prepared by TÜV Rheinland.

Markt Lappersdorf undertakes to treat personal data confidentially as part of the process and to process it in accordance with data protection regulations. However, citizens who submit their comments anonymously will not be informed of the results of the audit.

The open-space photovoltaic system initiative is a further step towards a sustainable and independent energy future for the community of Lappersdorf.
