Self-defense for boys: Strong techniques for more safety!

A self-defense course for boys will take place in Hemau on November 8th, 2025. The target group is young people aged 12 and over who are interested in intensive training. The course will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Zehntstadel, accessible from the Hemauer youth club at Dietfurter Straße 32. During the course, central topics such as behavior in dangerous situations, self-defense techniques, recognizing and defusing conflicts, and promoting self-confidence and team spirit are covered. Hemau reports that the course is intended to help prepare participants for potentially dangerous situations and to teach them to behave safely.

Participants learn how to recognize conflicts early on and how to avoid them using preventive measures, such as: Self Defense Academy explained. In the first week of the course, the focus will also be on developing various strategies to avoid conflict and emphasizing the importance of early conflict detection.

Violence prevention strategies

The programs focus on teaching physical and verbal techniques that enable children to assert themselves in critical situations and recognize risks.

Self-defense course participants will also be trained in body language, which will help them develop strong self-confidence. Mindfulness training is seen as the key to dealing with emotions and conflicts.

In addition, the connection between teamwork and social skills is trained. The combination of physical self-defense and social interaction is necessary to develop a comprehensive sense of security and promote respectful communication. Role-playing games are used to help participants react correctly and act appropriately in threatening situations.
