Festive beer for the Tangrintel folk festival: A tasty treat is ready!

The Tangrintel Folk Festival is just around the corner and the anticipation is great! A week before the official starting signal, the traditional beer tasting took place, which was organized by the Eichhofen Castle Brewery. Invited guests from various areas, including politics and city administration, were invited to test this year's festival beer. The feedback was consistently positive: the beer was described as tasty and drinkable.

Mayor Herbert Tischhöfer had the honor of tapping the first barrel. Together with brewery owner Michel-Andreas Schönharting, he distributed the freshly tapped beer to those present. Master brewer Michael Trübswetter informed the guests about the special properties of the festival beer. It has an attractive amber to copper-colored appearance, an original gravity of 13.5 percent and an alcohol content of 5.5 percent. What is particularly noteworthy is that the beer is brewed from 100 percent regional ingredients, which is an important criterion for many.

Beer tasting details

The festival beer has undergone a special maturation process: It was stored in the rock cellar at -1 degrees Celsius for three months, which gives it a round and full-bodied taste. The tasters present enjoyed the beer to the fullest, accompanied by the musical performances of the Tanngrindler musicians as well as traditional dishes such as roast pork and dumplings.

This year the beer price for visitors to the folk festival will be 10.80 euros. The Tangrintel Fair begins on August 30th and will last until September 3rd, 2024. Preparations are in full swing and the organizers are confident that the festival will be a complete success.
