A look back at the successful Tangrintel Folk Festival 2024
The Tangrintel Folk Festival 2024, which ended on September 3rd with an impressive fireworks display, has once again proven that it is a fixture in the Regensburg district's event calendar. For five days, the visitors celebrated in an exuberant atmosphere and enjoyed the diverse offerings that the festival had to offer. The organizers have a consistently positive assessment and are pleased with the great response.
“It was a fantastic festival,” said Mayor Herbert Tischhöfer enthusiastically. “The weather was ideal and people were clearly having fun.” Saturday evening particularly stood out when the local band “Donnaweda” carried the crowd away with their music. The atmosphere in the tent was so lively that many guests danced and sang along on the benches.
An afternoon full of tradition
The Tangrintel afternoon, which also took place on Saturday, was another highlight of the festival. Dr. Frieder Roßkopf, who moderated the program, ensured a varied offering. The “Tanngrindler Musicians” and the well-known “Bauernseufzer” from Deining thrilled the audience with their performances. The “Alphorn-Bläser” from Thonlohe and the “Jachenhausen Folk Dance Circle” also contributed to the festive atmosphere. “It was impressive to attract so many people into the tent on a hot afternoon,” said Tischhöfer, praising the organization.
A new program item, the Schafkopf tournament on Sunday, was also very popular. With 216 registrations, the premiere was a complete success. “The Tangrintler card friends organized the tournament excellently,” said festival speaker Jonathan Gabler. The Eisbären Regensburg and the Bavarian all-around on Tuesday also provided entertainment. The handball players from the “Hau danem” team won the all-around competition, which created additional excitement.
Josef Ebnet, partner of Festbetriebe Böckl, was also satisfied with how the festival went. "Saturday was simply phenomenal. The music and the atmosphere were great," he summed up. The experiences from previous years were also incorporated into the planning, which had a positive effect on visitor numbers.
Those responsible are now analyzing the festival and planning improvements for next year. Mayor Tischhöfer announced that they would take the guests' feedback seriously and work on the adjustments to further optimize the festival. “We are confident that we will be able to put on a great festival next year too,” concluded Tischhöfer.
