On September 2, 2025, it was announced that the municipality of Bernhardswald had concluded a new concession agreement with Bayernwerk Netz GmbH. The contract, which was signed on July 28, 2025, allows Bayernwerk Netz GmbH to use public transport routes to ensure the supply of electricity to the community.
