Vohenstrauß starts the first Christmas wish tree campaign for children

The youth representatives of the city of Vohenstrauß are organizing a special campaign this year. The “Christmas Wishing Tree Campaign” is taking place for the first time. The wishing tree is set up at the beginning of Advent in the entrance area of ​​the Sparkasse Vohenstrauß. It is decorated with special pendants. These trailers contain Christmas wishes from needy children and young people up to the age of 14 from the city and the larger community. The aim is to ensure that these children's wishes come true on Christmas Eve.

Conditions of Participation

Families receiving welfare benefits are allowed to hang a pendant. These include benefits from the job center, housing benefit, child allowance and social assistance. These families must provide appropriate proof. Wish lists are available from Ms. Anzer at the social welfare office of the city of Vohenstrauß. The wishes are anonymously transferred to the followers and hung on the tree.

Desirable options

The wishes can include anything except cash and should be worth up to 30 euros. The completed wish lists can be handed in at the town hall. Before hanging, the wishes are checked again.

fulfill wish

If you want to fulfill a wish of a child or young person, you can take one or more wishes from the tree. You then get the gift, wrap it and hand it in to the town hall together with the desired pendant by December 16th.

Appointments

You can hand in wish lists to the town hall/social welfare office by Friday, November 29, 2024 at the latest. From Tuesday, December 3, 2024, wishes can be “picked” from the tree. The wrapped gifts together with the trailer will be handed over by Monday, December 16th, 2024. The gifts will be handed over to the families on December 23rd, 2024.
