The municipality of Theisseil decides on a fire brigade concept for the future

On October 10, 2024, the local council adopted the basic concept “Fire Department 2030 – for the further development of the fire department and fire protection in the community of Theisseil”. This concept lays the foundation for the future work of the fire departments in the community.

Preservation of fire departments

The three municipal fire departments in Roschau, Edeldorf and Letzau will remain. The associated fire brigade clubs will also be continued. Three fire brigade locations are planned in Roschau, Wilchenreuth and Letzau. These locations are necessary due to the aid deadlines.

Further development of the equipment

An important point of the concept is the further development of respiratory protection and vehicle technology. The plan is to set up a respiratory protection group from all three fire departments. In addition, a new water-carrying vehicle (TSF-W) will be purchased and stationed at the Letzau location.

Investments in infrastructure

Several building construction measures are planned for 2024. The construction of a new fire station at the Letzau site will begin next year. The renovation of the fire station in Wilchenreuth will also start in 2024, although the new building will be postponed for financial reasons. Construction maintenance for the fire station in Roschau is also planned.

Vehicle stocks

The fire brigade vehicles are also considered. The Letzau fire department needs a new TSF because the current vehicle dates back to 1994. The Edeldorf fire department has a TSF from 2024, there is no need for action here. At the Roschau fire department, the TSF is from 2014, and there is no need for action here either.
