Seniors' trip 2024: An unforgettable day in Regensburg

This year's senior trip, which was organized by the committed senior representatives Elfi Gierlinger and Elisabeth Weiß, took the participants to the picturesque city of Regensburg. In the fully occupied bus, the happy seniors set off to explore the region's sights. A highlight of the trip was the boat trip to Walhalla, an impressive monument that commemorates important figures in German history.

After the boat trip we continued to the Weltenburg monastery restaurant, where the seniors met in a friendly atmosphere. Here they could not only enjoy the delicious food, but also experience the atmosphere of the historic monastery. Of course, a group photo was a must to capture this special day. Despite the less than perfect weather, the mood among the excursionists remained untroubled, and there was a lot of praise for the two organizers who had made the day so successful.

The community of Altenstadt expressed its heartfelt thanks to Ms. Gierlinger and Ms. Weiß, whose tireless efforts continue to create special experiences for the older generation. Second Mayor Dominik Baschnagel, who accompanied the group, expressed his wish to organize a similar excursion next year. This shows how important such events are to the community and how much they are valued.

The senior trip is not only an opportunity to discover new places, but also a valuable opportunity to maintain social contacts and create beautiful memories together. The anticipation for the next excursion is already palpable, and the organizers are motivated to offer an unforgettable experience in 2025 too.
