Discover the Hummingbirds Reading Corner: Volunteers Wanted!”
The City of Neumarkt Volunteer Agency invites everyone interested to a special event that will take place on Wednesday, September 25th. As part of the nationwide “Civic Engagement Week”, the Kolibris reading corner opens its doors and offers an exciting insight into the world of volunteer work. This initiative aims to encourage people to become actively involved in the community and promote the joy of reading.
The event begins at 5 p.m. in front of the Kolibris reading corner, which is located at Viehmarkt 51. Here participants have the opportunity to tour the premises and learn more about the different types of volunteer work. The founders of the reading corner will be on site to present the different ways you can get involved. This includes, among other things, reading with children or helping to organize events.
Insights into the reading corner
The Kolibris Reading Corner is a non-profit foundation that has been active in Neumarkt since March 2024. Its main goal is to promote reading among children and provide them with a positive reading experience. Volunteers play a crucial role by working directly with the children or helping to plan and implement events. The event on September 25th provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about this valuable work and perhaps get involved.
If you would like to take part in the tour, you can register at www.buergerhaus-neumarkt.de or register by phone at 09181/2552604. The event not only promises informative insights, but also the chance to make new contacts and become part of a committed community.
