Freystadt recycling center: New opening hours from November 15, 2024
The recycling center in Freystadt has changed opening hours from November 15, 2024 to March 14, 2025. It is only open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This regulation applies to all private households in the larger community. Commercial deliveries are not permitted.
What can be submitted?
Private households can donate various materials. This includes scrap metal, electronic waste, printer cartridges, CDs without cases, batteries and bulky waste in normal household quantities. Garden waste such as grass clippings are also permitted. Paper and cardboard must be handed in shredded. Frying fat, corks and PU foam cans can also be disposed of.
Different rules apply to traders. You are allowed to hand in building rubble, but not aerated concrete blocks or materials containing gypsum. Excavated earth can only be delivered with basic characterization after prior notification and from a quantity of 5 cubic meters.
Appointments for larger quantities
An appointment is necessary for the delivery of larger quantities of excavated earth and construction rubble, for example for new buildings or demolition work. The landfill attendant,Mr. Betz, can be reached on 0160 98984087. Construction companies must also register in advance.
Bulky waste can also be brought to the waste transfer station in Neumarkt by private individuals.
