Reading water meters: Your help is needed until October 18th!
The municipality is preparing for the annual billing of water and sewerage fees and needs the citizens' help. In the coming weeks it will again be necessary to read the water meters, by the owners themselves. This is a proven method that has been successfully implemented in recent years.
As usual, all homeowners will receive a reading letter from the municipal administration at the end of September. This letter explains how water meter reading works and what information is required. It is important that meter readings are reported by October 18, 2024 at the latest to ensure accurate billing.
Self-reading of water meters
Self-reading means that the owners themselves have to take action to record the meter readings. This is simple and straightforward, but requires meeting the deadline. If the meter readings are reported after October 18, 2024, the municipality can no longer take them into account for ongoing billing. In such cases, billing will be based on an estimate, which may lead to inaccuracies.
