Winter service obligation: Keep sidewalks in Roding safe and free of snow
The Roding city council has passed an important ordinance. This came into force on October 26, 2023. All owners and entitled persons of properties in the urban area are requested to observe the obligation to clear and scatter.
Obligations for property owners
The regulation applies to all property owners, including undeveloped areas. In the event of snow, frost or ice, the sidewalks adjacent to your property must be cleared. If there are no sidewalks, the edge area of the road must be secured. A walkway that is at least 1 meter wide must be sprinkled with suitable materials such as sand or grit.
Times for security work
Security work begins at 7 a.m. on weekdays. On Sundays and public holidays they start at 8 a.m. This work must be repeated as often as necessary to avoid danger to life and health. The work ends at 7 p.m.
Insight into the regulation
Details about the regulation can be found on the city of Roding’s homepage. Citizens can also view the ordinance in the Roding town hall. It is open to the public there during general office hours.
The city would like to thank the citizens for their understanding and help.
