On Thursday, November 14th, 2024, the senior citizens' advisory board of the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg is planning an exciting trip to Weiden in the Upper Palatinate. This trip promises not only a welcome change, but also interesting insights into the local culture and history.
Participants can look forward to a guided tour of the Oberpfalz printing house, where they can experience the art of printing up close. This tour will take around two hours and offers a fascinating look behind the scenes of a traditional craft. Afterwards, a “criminal city tour” is on the program, which also lasts around two hours. The participants will be introduced to the dark secrets of the city's history, which will certainly provide some exciting anecdotes.
Details about the trip
Departure takes place at 8:00 a.m. from Luitpoldplatz in Sulzbach-Rosenberg. After an eventful day, the return to Parkstein is planned for around 3:00 p.m. To end the day on a fitting note, a visit to the “Zur Burgschänke” restaurant in Parkstein is planned, where participants have the opportunity to fortify themselves and reflect on the day's experiences.
Anyone who would like to take part in this excursion can now register at the city treasury in Rathausgasse. The contribution towards expenses is 10.00 euros. It is important that registrations be made by November 4, 2024 at the latest to make planning easier. If you have any questions, the city's senior citizen representative, Mr. Roland Maul, is available on 09661/510-1151.
This excursion not only offers a great opportunity to make new acquaintances, but also to get to know the region better. The combination of education and socializing makes this event particularly attractive for the city's seniors.
