Schmidmühlen recycling center: New location and extended opening hours
Recycling center is moving: new location and extended opening hours
From June 15, 2024, the recycling center in Schmidmühlen will be in a new location. The move will take place in the Brunnlettberg industrial area, specifically in the Gewerbepark street. The old location on Bahnhofstrasse is no longer used. This change not only brings with it a new location, but also new opening hours that offer visitors more flexibility.
The new opening hours are a real benefit for everyone who wants to dispose of their recyclables. In the future, the recycling center will be open all day on Wednesdays, which means that citizens will now also have the opportunity to hand in their waste in the afternoon. On Saturdays the recycling center remains open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. During the summer, visitors can visit on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the winter, the recycling center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Official opening and sponsorship
The official opening of the new recycling center in Schmidmühlen is planned for mid-July. District Administrator Richard Reisinger will be present on this day to inaugurate the new location. The Amberg-Sulzbach district is responsible for the recycling center and takes over the financial aspects of the operation. This change is intended to help improve waste disposal in the region and provide citizens with better access to disposal options.
With these changes, the recycling center in Schmidmühlen will not only be easier to access, but also more user-friendly. The new opening hours are a step in the right direction to meet the needs of citizens and promote waste separation.
