Traffic obstructions and noise: US maneuvers in the Upper Palatinate in October

Traffic disruptions are imminent due to a maneuver by the US armed forces. A combat exercise will take place in the Upper Palatinate from October 1st to October 31st, 2024. The exercise is called “HFCA Landing Zone Training B & C sectors”.

Exercise details

Approximately 25 soldiers from “1-214 AVN, 12th CAB Combat Aviation Brigade” are taking part. The exercise takes place both on military property and in open areas, outside the Hohenfels military training area. Traffic disruptions are to be expected during this time. Disturbances of peace at night are also possible. Five helicopters are in use.
