A meeting is taking place in the Illschwang school association. The focus is on the presentation of a screen and display boards for the new photovoltaic system on the roof of the elementary school. This plant is an important step towards renewable energy. Details about the facility

Project managerStefan Kaminskyinforms the members of the school association about the technical details of the system. Construction began in November 2023 and commissioning will take place in April 2024. There is space for a total of 221 modules on a roof area of ​​around 430 square meters. Annual electricity production is around 94,000 kilowatt hours, with an estimated solar coverage share of 65 percent. The total costs are around 100,000 euros, excluding funding. Kaminsky would like to thank the school association and the school management for the good cooperation.

The meeting continues in the staff room. Brigitte Bachmann provides information about the current status of the planned conversion measures to an open all-day school. The application for financial support and the statement from the youth welfare office have already been submitted to the government of Upper Palatinate. “Overall, the whole thing is going well,” is the impression of the school association chairmen.

Another item on the agenda concerns the authorization to take out municipal loans in the amount of 160,000 euros. This amount is used to finance expenses in the capital budget for 2024.

Financial situation

The results of the annual financial statements for 2023 are presented. The administrative budget closes with income and expenses of 440,000 euros. A contribution from the capital budget of 18,000 euros ensures compensation. The asset budget closes at 822,000 euros. A withdrawal of 63,000 euros from the general reserve was necessary. The total income and expenses for the financial year amount to 1,262,000 euros.

Basketball hoop and school development

Another topic is setting up a basketball hoop. The old basket is in bad condition. The association councilors decide to build the new basket next to the playground and provide it with suitable flooring.

RectorGabi PirnerFinally, informs about the current situation at the primary school. It refers to the employment ofJasmine Robertsas a new secretary as a stroke of luck. In the 2024/25 school year, 138 students will attend the school, an increase of 14. There are currently six classes. Despite a new staff, Pirner speaks of a good climate. 63 children take part in the lunchtime care, and meals have also been booked for many of them.
