A comprehensive maneuver exercise by the US Army will be carried out in the region around Etzelwang from November 3rd to November 28th, 2025. This special exercise, which is advertised as a helicopter landing zone exercise (AE25-66), will also partially take place at night. The training areas extend across Etzelwang, Ursensollen, Hirschau, Ensdorf, Freudenberg and Ebermannsdorf, as reported by etzelwang.de.
Residents are urged to stay away from the training troops' facilities. In addition, attention is drawn to the dangers of leftover explosives or found ammunition. If such dangerous items are found, citizens should immediately contact the nearest police station.
Risks and Compensations
The military exercises often lead to damage to the infrastructure.
