Traffic changes in Ebermannsdorf: Main street remains closed
The city administration has announced that construction work on the main street in Ebermannsdorf is entering a new phase. The upper section of the combined pedestrian and cycle path is now completed, meaning this part of the road is open to traffic again. This is an important step as citizens can now travel more safely and comfortably.
However, the newly created pedestrian and cycle path will remain closed until it is officially approved. However, the existing sidewalk is accessible again, which benefits pedestrians and cyclists. The gravel footpath to DomCom can also be used again, improving accessibility to the popular destination.
Current road closures
In order to enable construction work on the new barrier-free bus stop, the road closure will now be moved downwards. From now on, the main street is closed from the Dientzenhoferstraße exit to the upper Gartenstraße entrance. In addition, the closure will also come into force from the zebra crossing at the Waldstrasse entrance to the upper Gartenstrasse entrance.
An important note for residents: Access to the new Sonnenschein 2 kindergarten remains guaranteed at all times, but only via Gartenstrasse as soon as the closure takes effect from the zebra crossing. The city administration would like to thank the citizens for their understanding during this necessary construction work.
Replacement bus stops in Erzweg
The bus stops along the main street are affected by the closure, which is why replacement stops will be set up in Erzweg by November 6, 2024. This applies to both school bus transport to the Ebermannsdorf elementary school and to the Kümmersbruck middle school. The departure and arrival times for elementary school students will remain unchanged, while middle school students will get on and off at the new diversion stops on Erzweg.
It is also important for all citizens who use local public transport to know that the ZNAS and RBO buses cannot go to the stops on the main road. The diversion will take place via Erzweg, where two replacement stops will be set up. The departure times remain the same here too, which offers passengers a certain level of planning security.
For further information, residents can view the site map, which clearly identifies the temporary stops. The city administration is committed to minimizing inconvenience during construction work and would like to thank residents for their patience.
