Ten years of Kita Farbkleckse: A celebration of community and education
On Friday, September 27th, 2024, a very special celebration took place in the Farbkleckse daycare center on the sports field: the tenth anniversary of the facility. The celebration attracted numerous guests who gathered in a festive atmosphere to properly celebrate this milestone.
An important point of the anniversary was the renaming of the daycare center, which now has the location in its name. This shows the daycare center's close connection to the community and underlines the importance of community facilities. The event began with a tour of the daycare center, where visitors were able to explore the lovingly designed play areas and rooms.
Speeches and reviews
Facility manager Roman Lipp welcomed the guests to the festively decorated gymnasium. In his speech, he looked back on the past ten years and highlighted the many happy children who were looked after at the daycare center. Mayor Florian Mayer and state parliament member Peter Tomaschko followed with their speeches. Mayer praised the valuable work of the educational team and emphasized the importance of early childhood education. He also recalled the history of the facility, which has its origins in the former children's detention center in Klostergasse, which was founded by nuns in 1910. The Farbkleckse, formerly known as the “House of the Little Friends Color Splashes”, was the last institution to emerge from this tradition and moved to the new building at the sports field in 2014.
Tomaschko joined the words of thanks and emphasized the importance of municipal facilities for a vibrant community. He promised that the Free State of Bavaria would continue to support childcare facilities. After the inspiring speeches, guests had the opportunity to exchange ideas over a delicious meal provided by the Schlosserwirt.
A special anniversary gift was a grant from Mayor Florian A. Mayer for a new loudspeaker system, which will be used at the upcoming kindergarten festival in May. The celebration was characterized by joy and celebrating the daycare center's successes together. The parents' council, management of other daycare centers in Mering and the daycare center's dedicated team came together to review the last ten years and make plans for the future.
The event was not only a celebration of the past, but also a look ahead to the years to come, in which the Farbkleckse daycare center will continue to be a place for learning, playing and togetherness. With the demolition of the old sports hall, the garden area could also be expanded, which could create space for additional groups.
A picture of the festival shows Mayor Florian Mayer, facility manager Roman Lipp, Carmen Oberndorfer from the kindergarten and school administration and state parliament member Peter Tomaschko, who, together with the children, are happy about the new loudspeaker system that the community donated to the facility for the anniversary.
