The Mering market says goodbyeFranz Knittel. He was a recipient of the Golden Ring of Honor. From 1993 to 1996 he was a member of the market town council. As a local historian, he recorded historical events in his home community in countless books.
Merits to history
The community is eternally grateful for all the publications and documents that he gave to the Mering Market Archives. With his notes he made a significant contribution to the success of the Meringen local chronicle. His contributions to the history of the market town of Mering and his commitment beyond that are of inestimable value for posterity.
