Merching becomes festive: Advent window 2025 invites everyone!

In Merchingen, the anticipation of Advent is particularly important this year. On September 9th, 2025 it was officially announced that the Merchinger Advent window would start again in 2025. This special event will immerse the community in a contemplative atmosphere with festively decorated windows, doors and garages. The daily opening is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and offers residents a varied program of reading stories, singing and playing music.( Merchingen community )

The community in Merchingen is invited to become active. Wibke Sachs, the organizer of the event, is looking for hosts - be they families, clubs, business people or neighbors. Shared Advent traditions

The Advent window event is a return to a popular tradition that has been missing in Merchingen in recent years. There has been no joint Advent calendar since 2019. The opening of doors, windows and gates takes place almost every evening at a different house and is intended to strengthen the sense of community and share the anticipation of Christmas.
