Friedberg: Renewal of the B300 will ensure diversions from September 16th

From Monday, September 16th, federal highway 300 in Friedberg will undergo a comprehensive renovation. The work is focused on the section between Aichacher Straße and Oberzell and is scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 4th. Drivers must prepare for a diversion that begins at Chippenham Ring.

The Augsburg State Building Authority has announced that the diversion will take place via the AIC 25 district road and the A 8 motorway. In order to keep the disruption to residents and inner-city traffic as low as possible, the construction site will be divided into two sections. In the first week, the area between Aichacher Strasse and Wulfertshauser Strasse will be worked on, followed by work up to Oberzell.

Important information about the construction site

During the entire construction period, passage from Friedberg to Dasing and vice versa will not be possible. This means that road users have to use alternative routes to reach their destinations. Buses will also be rerouted within the city during construction work, which requires additional planning for commuters.

Renewing the road surface is necessary to increase traffic safety and extend the life of the road. The city administration asks all road users to understand the inconvenience that the construction work may cause. It is recommended that you follow the signposted diversions and, if necessary, allow more time for the journey.

The measure is part of a larger plan to improve the region's infrastructure and is intended to lead to better transport connections in the long term. The city administration will communicate the progress of the work regularly to keep citizens informed.
