Sustainability Day in Aichach: Feast and join in for free!

The first Sustainability Day will take place at Kreigut Aichach on September 19, 2025. The event, which can be attended free of charge from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., promises a variety of activities and information offerings that are all about sustainability. The Aichach-Friedberg District Office is responsible for this initiative and warmly invites anyone interested to find out more about sustainable consumption and ecological awareness. Adelzhausen reports that the event offers an ideal opportunity to actively engage with the issues of the environment and resource protection.

The organizers have put together a colorful program that contains both informative and interactive elements. The highlights include a clothing swap and workshops on the production of ecological cleaning products. Energy advice and exciting participation offers are also on the agenda. The event also offers an information wall that provides information about sustainability in the district, as well as a children's program with crafts and painting activities. The district office highlights that participation in the activities is suitable for both children and adults.

Diverse program for young and old

Particular attention is paid to the offer for children, which includes various learning and play opportunities, such as a chocolate course and quiz games. The children can be creatively active as well as learn through play how important sustainability is. The food is not neglected either: free ice cream and cake are offered, as well as sustainable snacks and drinks, all of which come from regional sources.

Adults can look forward to informative lectures. Ms. Lueg from the One World Network Bavaria e.V. will speak about fair trade. There are also activities such as the production of bread chips in collaboration with the farmers' association and the presentation of information on food rescue. Fraunhofer Academy emphasizes that sustainable business is not only an ecological challenge, but is also supported by legal regulations at national and European level.

Sustainability as a community task

The event on September 19th is not only an opportunity for practical learning, but also a step towards a more conscious use of resources. The principles of sustainability are key challenges that affect the economy, society and individuals. Initiatives like these raise awareness of sustainable action and promote a community that actively contributes to improving the quality of life.
